The Celeste Sphere has to come to be a classic Stray Dog Designs piece over the years. It is named after Celeste Pillow, our dear friend and owner of the restaurant Odette and the soon to open Esther's Eatery in Florence, Alabama. I was introduced to Celeste by Margaret of Fortunata fame. We clicked immediately. The Celeste Sphere is a funky disco ball of sorts and so is our friend Celeste. She loves color, especially purple, is not afraid of sequins and sings karaoke to unwind.

Celeste opened Odette in 2013 just around the same time I had my baby, Lula. I have watched her restaurant baby grow and blossom into the thriving neighborhood eatery it is. A few doors down from Billy Reid, Odette is a fixture in the town of Florence. Each time I visit I am blown away by the flavor combinations and inspired by the house made breads, cookies and cocktails. I am not the only fan, Odette has been featured in many regional and national publications including Garden & Gun, Southern Living and The Bitter Southerner.
{The dining room at Odette}
When Celeste started designing Odette, she wanted a graphic look and used our Big Bufta Lights as the main lights for the dining room. The black and white stripes are so striking in the space and provide a lot of light with the 5 arm chandelier. We look forward to seeing what Celeste has up her sleeve with Esther's Eatery and we hope she will use the Celeste Sphere!
